چکیده

AIM: This study aimed to examine the application of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) effect on sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) using single method methylene blue 1% in breast cancer patients at low-resource country.
METHODS: analytical observational employed a retrospective case–control approach. The total sampling was used by involving entire population Stage-I and -II after performed core or open with clinically negative axillary nodes that had SLNB dissection several hospitals Surakarta from January May 2020. descriptive data were presented frequency table. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, value (NPV), diagnostic values reported 95% confidence interval (CI).
 RESULTS: From 161 patients, 100 given NAC. identification rate non-NAC 91.3% NAC group 80.6%. Non-NAC obtained false-negative 24.4% NPV 94.4% (95% CI 85–100), while 10.8% 74% 65–80).
CONCLUSIONS: injection can reduce rates patients.
